Inserts provide an internal thread into thin sheet material and at the same time they can also function as a blind fastener to join two materials together. Blind inserts are available in aluminium, steel and stainless steel, and are available with different head types: cylindrical, countersunk, reduced and with a hexagonal shaft, to prevent them from turning and closed end to prevent moisture entry.
